Event: Garden Open House 2024

Idaho Firewise will be hosting a Garden Open House event on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Join us for this free event to kick-off Wildfire Awareness Month! Did you know that May 4th is also Wildfire Preparedness Day? Learn how to protect your home from wildfire by visiting the Idaho Firewise demonstration garden! Staff, volunteers, and collaborators will be available for visitor engagement and to answer questions about fire-resistant landscaping, home hardening, and suggested plant species.

Visit with our on-site collaborators including Ada County Emergency Management, the National Weather Service, Boise Fire Department, Idaho Power, and 811 Digline.

Enjoy an outing with friends or family and explore our demonstration garden grounds!
