Apply for a Burn Permit - The fire safety burn permit is free and required under Idaho law for any burning outside city limits statewide (excluding campfires) from May 10 to October 20.
Idaho Fire Info - This is an interagency website developed by federal and state agencies in Idaho to provide timely and accurate information for wildland fires, fire restrictions, prevention and education across the state. Our aim is to provide one website where the best available information and links related to fire can be accessed.
National Interagency Fire Center - The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), located in Boise, Idaho, is the nation's support center for wildland firefighting. Eight different agencies and organizations are part of NIFC. Decisions are made using the interagency cooperation concept because NIFC has no single director or manager.
American Red Cross - The American Red Cross responds to an emergency every 8 minutes. No one else does this: not the government, not other charities. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross goes wherever we’re needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most.
University of Idaho Extension Forestry/Wildfire - Gain an understanding of fire ecology and obtain important information about living and playing in the wildland/urban interface.
